General Rules While Playing Rummy Tournaments
The tournament starts at a scheduled time interval. Players also notified with time in the tourney lobby. MastRummy has the right to change the rules/parameters of the tourneys and also has the right to cancel the tourneys anytime without prior intimation. Know the tourney details below such as re-buy, break information, and length of rounds.
Seating arrangement is done randomly and the player who gets the highest face value card will make their first move. It is important to note that there will be no permission to change the seat. To avoid collusion and provide smooth gameplay, the tournament tables are merged frequently.
The entry for a tournament (free or paid) depends on the type of tournament A player needs to maintain funds in their rummy account to register for a Paid Tournaments. The entry tries fee will be deducted from the account balance. The Rake will be deducted from the final prize pool.
- Drop = 10 x Bet
- Middle Drop = 30 x Bet
- Max Count = 80 x Bet
Half Count: If it is a Deal Show, the count for players who have not played yet will be Half Count
Levels & Level Duration
The Multi-Table tournaments are classified into various levels and into different bet amounts per level. Every participant will begin with an equal number of Tourney Chips and each level is carried in a specific duration period. The number of chips required to qualify for next level is different.
As Per Multi-Table Tournament:
Participants in the tournament will be eliminated when they fail to maintain a minimum number of chips in that particular level. It means if their tourney chips are less than the max count multiplied with the Bet amount of the current level.
Tourney Chip balance needs to be maintained according to tournament levels to qualify for the next Level else you will be eliminated.
The Prize pool structure is decided on some factors including the number of registrants of a tourney and if it is meant to be a guaranteed payout.
When considering the winning prize under free roll tab, they will be added to your withdrawal balance only upon wagering the tourney winnings at least once.
The winning prize of Freeroll/Real Cash/Special tournament of a player is dispersed into:
- 50% Real chips – Player could withdraw the amount
- 50% Bonus Chips – Player can use them for playing real cash games

A player needs to participate in a tournament for just only once. If MastRummy team found multiple accounts per single person, they are subjected for warning or disqualified from the tournament, along with partial or full forfeiture of winnings and barring from MastRummy.
A player cannot unregister from a Tournament once the tourney gets started.
If a player fails to present at the scheduled start time, then he/she will be treated as ‘Drop’ for each turn they missed. If they do not enter the tournament within 5 minutes of the tourney scheduled start time, then they will be removed from the tournament.
By registering for a tournament, a rummy player accepts the risk of Internet disconnection whether it is due to connection errors between their computer and the servers, lag or freeze or any other issues on the player’s computer or the Internet. MastRummy is not responsible for disconnection issues during a Tournament, except in the case of a server crash.
It is important to note that a player is liable for their own Internet connection, MastRummy puts great effort to secure its rummy players who are disconnected and Auto Play option will be available for 3 rounds so that a player has a chance to join in the tournament. After which, the game will be middle dropped. In this duration, if any other rummy player declares a successful show, then the disconnected player’s count would be dependent on players saved groups.
Rummy game is an individual (not a team) game. If there are any actions carried to help other players is strictly prohibited. The unethical way of playing means playing less aggressively against opponent and chip dumping (intentionally losing chips to a partner) that may result in account suspension, including seizure of funds from the offender’s account and/or termination of the account. MastRummy regularly reviews and keep an eye on gameplay to check whether any unethical practices are taking place and review each and every player move to ensure the integrity of our games. It may be necessary to withhold player winnings until the completion of game play reviews.
Rummy players who want to withdraw their winning amount need to make a minimum purchase of Rs. 50.
Only the players who participate in at least one real cash game is eligible to withdraw the amount they win.
Sometimes few circumstances occur where any problem needs to be canceled due to a crash or any other reason, and then participants will be communicated with alternate Tournament Details and/or refund of Tournament Entry + Re-buy amounts.
